A free membership for women in comms, marketing and advertising across Scotland. You give four hours of mentoring a year. We give you a community that has your back.

Become a member

Bloom Scotland exists to support, inspire and upskill women in our industry. Our events have always been open to all women in the industry (and where relevant and appropriate men too), and they still are. Membership is for people who want to go a step further in their Bloom Scotland journey.

 

There's no membership fee. Instead, it's an exchange. You pledge your time to help someone else in the industry grow, and in return you get:

• Our members' WhatsApp community, a place to ask the questions you wouldn't ask in front of your boss

• Early notice of events, so you hear about them before anyone else

• A members-only meetup once a year

• A welcome pack, including a Bloom Scotland Member 2026 graphic for your LinkedIn

• A way in to running Bloom, if you'd like to get more involved with the committee in future

Who can join?

You can apply if you:

1. Live or work in Scotland, or plan to relocate here

2. Work, study or volunteer in communications, marketing or advertising: in-house, agency or freelance

3. Identify as female

4. Pledge at least four hours a year to mentoring someone in the industry

5. You agree to uphold our Membership Charter

About the mentoring pledge

Four hours a year, or roughly an hour a quarter. It needs to be something new, outside your existing responsibilities, so not your direct reports or anything your job already asks of you. You can mentor anyone in the industry.

You don't need to be senior to do it. Reverse mentoring counts: if you're two years in and working in social, someone thirty years into their career may have plenty to learn from you over a coffee. Or you could mentor someone who is currently studying, to help them break into the industry.

We'll help you get started. Your welcome pack includes mentoring worksheets, and we'll run a welcome session on finding someone to mentor. If you're stuck, we'll use our network to help.

Timings and openings

Applications for our first intake are open from 19 to 30 October 2026, with 25 places in this pilot round.

This first round is for everyone who registered their interest over the summer, so look out for our email. We're starting small so we can get the welcome right, then growing from there.

If we get more applications than we have places, those applicants will get first priority in the next round.

After the pilot, we'll take in up to 25 new members every quarter. If you missed the register-of-interest list, sign up to our newsletter using the form at the bottom of this page, and we'll tell you when the next round opens.​
